Pembrokeshire Beaches

<div class='container'>

Newport Beach

10 mins away. You can drive directly onto this beach. Follow signs for Newport Golf Club. Brilliant for dog walking all year round.

Poppit Sands

20 mins away. You go through St Dogmaels. A very large open beach (ideal for kite flying) with rock pools and sand dunes. This can be reached very easily and directly across the road from the car park. There is also a café adjacent to the car park. Very good for dog walking.

Mwnt

5 miles north of Cardigan – a National Trust beach. A small sandy cove and very pretty. There are, however, quite a few steps to descend to reach the beach and this can be quite an effort for the young/old and if carrying lots of beach equipment – especially on the way back up!

Whitesands Bay

40 min drive away. A beautiful beach with great rock pools, cafes and parking. 5 mins from St Davids.

Llangranog

20 mins north of Cardigan. A lovely sandy cove with cafes, pubs and restaurants.

Penbryn & Tresaith

10 mins north of Cardigan. Lovely sandy beaches, managed by the National Trust. At Penbryn, there is a little walk from the car park down to the beach but you are able to drop off/pick up family and equipment at the beach side before parking back up at the top car park. Tresaith is a mile north of from Penbryn and has a nice beach and a good pub for food, The Ship.

Cwm yr Eglwys

15 mins away on the Fishguard Road on the other side of Newport. Lovely cove with flat sea.

So Many More Too!

There are too many lovely beaches to list but some others include Tenby, Saundersfoot, Marloes, Freshwater East & West, Little Haven, Newgale, Solva.

There's also Abereiddy Bay too (picture taken by Daniel Morris), with the natural Blue Lagoon nearby - which has been used by the BBC for their film Richard II, and for the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series in 2018.
